Season Planning
Show Season Planner
A season planner covering goals, entry deadlines, and show logistics for every event in your calendar year. Built by an active exhibitor for working programs that need a managed season instead of a reactive one.
Instant download · .docx · Single-business use
Most exhibitors manage their show season in fragments. Entry deadlines in one app, show dates in a notebook, handler contact in a text thread, results on a scrap of paper. The season slips by and the most common regret is a deadline missed, a show double-booked, or a title run that stalled because nobody tracked where it stood.
The Show Season Planner brings the entire season into one document. You set your goals before the first show opens. You track entry deadlines as they come in. You log every show, judge, and result in the same place. At the end of the year, the whole season is on paper in one archive.
What the document does
It runs the exhibitor through three sections that together cover every operational layer of a show season. Section 1 sets the season's goals before the calendar fills up. Section 2 tracks entry deadlines in chronological order so nothing closes before you submit. Section 3 is the main show log, organized month by month, with every event captured in a single row.
What is included
- Season Goals table covering up to eight dogs with the title target and points needed for each, plus an on-track status column to check mid-season
- Entry Deadline Tracker with 20 rows capturing show name, closing date, submission status, and confirmation number
- Main Show Log organized by month across all 12 months, with columns for event name, date, location, entry deadline, entry fee, class, handler, judge, and notes
- Document header capturing program name and season year for archiving
Format and how it works
Includes a Word document. The document is landscape format so the full show log fits across a single page without scrolling. Print one copy per season and keep it in your show bag or binder. Archive completed seasons so you have a year-over-year record of your program's activity.
Why this version is different
Most show planning happens reactively. An entry opens, you notice it, you submit or you miss it. This document turns a reactive season into a managed one. The Entry Deadline Tracker is the section that earns its keep fastest. Most exhibitors do not realize how many deadlines overlap in a single month until they put them all in one place.
Who this is for
